The Cope-Himsworth Letters
We were delighted to hear from Richard Himsworth (OH 50) who wrote to us about being evacuated to America in 1940 and then returning to The Hall School in 1944. He inherited the complete correspondence between his parents and guardians during the evacuation and these are now held in three volumes of transcripts in the Imperial War Museum (Cope-Himsworth Letters 1940-41, 1942-43 and 1944-45).
